Understanding Betting Markets More In-Depth
Many new players who come to 99md with great enthusiasm but without a basic understanding of how betting markets work. This is common — and that's why we always encourage players to learn first before placing large amounts of money.
One of the most important concepts in sports betting is Asian handicap. Unlike standard 1X2 betting, Asian Handicap eliminates the possibility of a draw by giving a goal advantage or disadvantage to a specific team. This makes odds more balanced and statistically improves your chances of winning.
For example, in a match between a strong and weak team, the Asian Handicap may give the weaker team a 1.5-goal advantage. This means even if the weaker team loses by one goal, your bet on them can still win. This system is hugely popular among Asian players because it is fairer and reduces the risk of losing due to a draw result.
Additionally, mix parlay or accumulator betting is another way to maximise returns with a smaller stake. You combine multiple bets on a single slip, and if all your selections are correct, the multiplied winnings can reach tens or even hundreds of times your original amount. Keep in mind, however, that the risk is also higher — one wrong result will void your entire bet slip.
For players who are just getting started, we at 99md always recommends starting with single bets first. Understand how odds are calculated, learn to read match statistics, and build your knowledge gradually. Don't be tempted to jump straight into mix parlay simply because the potential returns look attractive.
Platform 99md also provides a complete betting history in your account. You can review your wins and losses, analyse result patterns, and refine your strategy over time. This is an especially useful feature for serious players who want to improve their betting skills.

Another rapidly growing area at 99md is esports betting. Malaysia is among the Southeast Asian countries with an active and passionate esports community. Games like Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, DOTA 2, CS2, and Valorant attract millions of viewers every year.
